Community Transport Driver

(Full time, 36 hours a week)

Salary: £18,664 – £21,079 PA

1 Year Fixed Term Contract

 

Elmbridge Community Support Services provides a wide range of services for seven Centres for the Community, a Relief Carer’s Scheme providing specialist day care, a Patient transport contract and other duties.

The Community Transport team transports older people with a mobility handicap using a fleet of accessible vehicles to Centres for the Community, older people’s clubs, specialist day care services and provides a Dial-a-Ride, Hire-a-Bus and Community Cab service.  In addition, we have various contracts including a patient transport contract and Shuttle service.

The post holder must also be prepared to work flexibly and to be driving on any aspect of our Community Transport service. Apart from having the necessary driving skills, the post holder must hold a D1 licence, have a responsible and caring attitude as well as having experience of driving accessible or larger vehicles. The post holder must be willing to undertake a DBS Disclosure and complete all additional training as required.  

There will be bespoke training in addition to our core Community Transport training for patient transport.
